We're a team in Wuppertal building AcademyAdmin. From early 2027 we're opening three roles — software engineering, accounting, and customer support — and we'd rather hear from you early than late.

AcademyAdmin is our own platform, not client work. What you ship goes to the academies using it, and you see how it lands.

Hybrid, and we mean it

Part of the week from home, part from the Wuppertal office. Days are agreed with the team, not dictated by a policy.

Three languages, by design

Everything we build works in English, Arabic, and German — including right-to-left. Working across languages is the job, not an afterthought.

Software Engineer

Build features end to end across the platform — scheduling, billing, permissions — in TypeScript on Next.js.

Work mode: Hybrid — home and the Wuppertal office
Location: Wuppertal, Germany
Start: Q1 2027
Commitment: Full-time
Languages: English; German or Arabic welcome

What you'd do

Ship features end to end: the data model, the API, and the interface people actually use.
Treat student and teacher data with care — privacy and access rules are not a side concern.
Write the tests that let us deploy on a Friday, and keep the ones we have green.
Take part in how features are shaped, not only in how they're built.

What we're looking for

Solid TypeScript, and real experience with React and a modern server framework — Next.js here.
Comfort with a relational database and an ORM.
You've owned a feature from idea to production and supported it afterwards.
Care for correctness and accessibility — schools depend on this software every day.
Clear written communication; much of the work is asynchronous.

Nice to have

You've worked on a multi-tenant SaaS product before.
Stripe, background jobs, or performance work.

Accountant

Keep the books of a German GmbH in order — subscription revenue, invoices, payroll input, and the work with our tax advisor.

Work mode: Hybrid — home and the Wuppertal office
Location: Wuppertal, Germany
Start: Q1 2027
Commitment: Full-time or part-time — we'll discuss it in the first conversation
Languages: German required; English helpful

What you'd do

Run day-to-day bookkeeping and prepare the monthly closings.
Reconcile subscription revenue and the payouts from our payment provider.
Issue invoices, track them, and follow up on what's outstanding.
Prepare VAT returns and the documents our tax advisor needs.
Prepare payroll input and keep records audit-ready.

What we're looking for

A completed commercial or accounting qualification, or equivalent experience.
Practical knowledge of German bookkeeping and VAT rules.
You work accurately and independently, and you flag problems early.
Confident with accounting software and spreadsheets.
Discretion — you'll see the whole financial picture.

Nice to have

Experience with SaaS or subscription revenue.
You've worked with DATEV.

Customer Support (Call Service)

Be the first person an academy reaches — by phone and by email — and turn what you hear into better onboarding and clearer help articles.

Work mode: Hybrid — home and the Wuppertal office
Location: Wuppertal, Germany
Start: Q1 2027
Commitment: Full-time or part-time — we'll discuss it in the first conversation
Languages: Arabic and English required; German a strong plus

Answer calls and emails from academies and their teachers, and see every question through.
Walk new academies through setup — their first teachers, groups, and sessions.
Reproduce problems carefully and hand engineering something they can act on.
Turn recurring questions into help articles instead of answering them twice.
Tell the team what customers keep asking for — you hear it before anyone else.

What we're looking for

Experience in support, a call centre, or another role where you spoke to customers all day.
Fluent Arabic and English, spoken and written.
Patience and clear explanations, especially with people who aren't technical.
Willing to learn the software deeply enough to teach it.
Organised — nothing dropped, nothing left unanswered.

Nice to have

German at a working level.
You've worked in education or with schools.
You've written help documentation before.
